My builder is actually ahead of me this time!!! Been pushing for contracts to be ready and final costings to be done so that I am able to put in the finalised contracts to the bank. Bank will take about 2-3 weeks at fastest to approve - Westpac says they're currently swarmed with loan applications and the mortgage assessment centre is flooded at the moment. Just submitted it in on Thursday last week and banker has gone on a 2wks holiday just this past Tuesday. And at the time of application, as you can see, I already have site cut and pegs in. However these pegs has to be shifted to accommodate the latest changes in estate covenants (ie the minimum 1m setback from side fences).
Dean (the builder) called me again now chasing ME for the loan approvals!! How funny is that?? He wants to continue with the site re-pegging and put in the piping up, if I am ok with it, without my loan approval. I told him that it's best to wait.... *LOL*
